Yesterday i had the opportunity to spend the day with my granddaughter Faith. We had planned to go to the beach, but the weather posed an obstacle. We waithed for a break in the rain, and timed it perfectly!

We got to Oceanside pier just after the rain stopped.

Faith  said “hi” to everyone we passed, including the local wildlife.

We had lunch at Ruby’s at the end of the pier. Faith ordered a cheeseburger.

Of course we shared a milk shake for desert. Faithy ordered strawberry.

Then we walked down to play on the beach.

Faith loved to watch the surfers.

And she almost get her feet wet.

When she saw the playground equipment, she was on it like white on rice!

She kept giggling “Higher Grandpa!”

She slept almost the entire way home, missing the thunder storm along the way.
